• Ariana User | 9 Sep 2011, 13:38 Truly fantastic My boyfriend and I bought the Twilight Package and, I must say, it is by far the most incredible experience. It is well worth the money (Personally, I think it's a steal!) The food was delectable. The rooftop pool was beautiful. The steam rooms were beyond relaxing. I can't wait to go back. The waters made my skin so soft and my acne cleared up overnight - it felt like magic. I couldn't believe it!

  • Chris D | 9 Sep 2011, 12:48 Ups and Downs We went to the Spa for a friends birhtdya and overall came away very happy and relaxed. As is was a weeked we did have to que to get in which did take a while but someone came round and offered us mints while we watied which was a nice touch.    Once in with our wrist bands (more on these later) the changing rooms were nice and clean the finding a locker that worked took 4 attempts.    We headed straight up to the roof top pool. There are places up there up keep your towel etc.. This is not mentioned everywhere so we left ours in our lockers which meant getting a bit cold on the walk up. The water we  very clean, and relly nice and warm, we spent a good hour just floating around and chatting, enjoying the bubbles when they came on. It would have been nice to have have some more floation aids as these were limited and was a case of if you see a free one grab it quick.    Next we popped down the steam rooms. The oils they use might not be to everyones taste, but you will find one of the 4 steam rooms just right for you. The foot baths, there are 5 but there were only 2 plugs and water was very cold or scalding hot, could not get a happy mix so gave up on them. The waterfall shower is really nice.    We finished off with another dip on the rooftop in the dark, fantastic views, and a really nice enviroment.    The only thing that bugged me through out the visit was the wrist bands, they just don't stay on, If they were made of elastic they would have been better but the plastic clasps just come undone and you end up chasing it round the pool. If someone from the management is reading this .. PLEASE look at getting some better wrist bands.    It does seem expensive but i would say is was worth it. So go and give it a try.

  • Seymour User | 9 Sep 2011, 11:52 Lovely Day We came to the Spa for a day together before I start at Uni.  On the whole we absolutely loved it; the rooftop pool was fabulous - just being able to wallow in hot water whilst looking out at the scenery was such a treat.  The Minerva pool was also good, we went round and round the lazy river.  Yes it's small, but it's fun.  The only problem there was the lack of blue floats when it got busy, compounded by the fact that some people took 2 or 3 each and staff didn't intervene and ask that they were shared more equally which would help.    The steam rooms were good, with plenty of space and the waterfall shower is an interesting feature which I've not seen anywhere else.    The only thing which was a disappointment to me was the showers right at the end - more like a council run swimming pool than an expensive spa.  Nice showers with hooks for towels/robes and some toiletries other than manky soap in a metal dispenser please!

  • rachel User | 9 Sep 2011, 11:46 hen weekend to remeber what a fantastic place for a hen weekend to start off, was so relaxing, we where there form the time it opened and start at the top(rooftop pool) which in hinsight was the right decision as it got busy. the steam rooms where fantastic and the girls that had treatments loved it. it did fel a little rushed a times, but with so much to do it was our own fault as we wanted to do everything.lol a truely wonderful start to a fab hen weekend. i would def recomend booking in advance thou as it can get really busy as times.

  • Liz Goldring | 9 Sep 2011, 11:40 Birthday Treat My husband and I went here yesterday and had the 2 hour package, accessing the rooftop pool, minerva bath and steam room, plus a light lunch in the cafe. It was really lovely and relaxing. The steam rooms (glass pods) with the essentail oils and differing temperature were especially relaxing. I thought the high tech blue wrist bands to access the lockers and lunch and exiting were clever and well thought through. The paninis we had for lunch were hot and delicious. As it should be a relaxing event, I think care should be taken to not over book other treatments. It was good to see a range of ages and all all body types. We will consider returning and would recommend this to our friends.

  • lindy lou | 9 Sep 2011, 11:38 FABULOUS Just returned from a spa day and I must say we all completely loved it......all of it. Great steam rooms and pools and we would definitely go again. Amazingly the  two hr session was not long enough. We just walked straight in and no booking. I would hate it if it was busy so it would be nice if you could book and numbers were limited.

  • Manny Ngo | 9 Sep 2011, 11:00 Awesome Steam Room I can say that by far, Bath Spa has the best steam room facilities in the UK. My boyfriend and I booked a 2hour session at the spa and couldn't get enough of the steam room (the mint and eucalyptus pod was my fav) the roof-top pool was spectacular (and warm) with breath-taking views, unfortunately we didn't manage to sample any food in the restaurant or use the minerva pool as we ran out of time but we plan to go back for february and probably book the twilight package this time which is 3hours use of the spa and free lunch to share. :)

  • Kazia User | 9 Sep 2011, 10:39 Great time My friend & I visited the Spa and were a bit dubious because of negative comments made on other web sites.  Clearly made by persons with nothing better to do than complain.  It was great. took a shower first and then enjoyed the delights of the steam room and pools.  My skin and hair felt soft and felt better than ever.  I was concerned at people showering after their visit and washing away the minerals they had paid for!  Worth a visit.

  • Jen User | 17 Jan 2011, 18:50 Amazing Went for a girly weekend and loved it.  It was so relaxing. We started off in the rooftop pool, with great views of Bath. The steam rooms were amazing on a cold winter day and the shower in the middle was great for cooling off.  It would’ve been good if it was on constantly though.  The Minerva bath was good, although we had to wait ages for the bubbles to start. The lazy river was great too.  Our meal was good and there’s a great choice of fruit juices and herbal teas.  The wristband was too big so had to be careful not to lose it. My favourite bits were the steam rooms and rooftop pool. It was hard to keep our towels, someone took one of my friends and the staff replaced it. However when me and my other friend found someone had dropped them on the floor so they were wet they wouldn’t replace them, so we had to try and dry ourselves with our robes! So a few details could be improved but overall it was amazing. Can’t wait to come back.

  • Patsy Branford | 10 Jul 2010, 12:32 What a relaxing experience My partner and I specifically went to the Thermae Bath Spa for health reasons.  I have several issues with my back and a visual impairement.  We arrived and went tot he back of the que.  I was in my wheelchair.  Within minutes we were ushered to the front of the que and provided with support and direction. This I believed was considerate given the difficulty I have sitting in my chair for long periods.  The roof-top pool was relaxing, with great views and the atmosphere was friendly.  The steam room was something else!  Two weeks later, I am still feeling the benefits.    Thank you to the staff and management for a lovely few hours.
