• Callie User | 9 Sep 2011, 13:07 Always Love a Visit This was my third visit to the Spa and I love it every time. The Rooftop pool remains my favourite, I always go to it first and love the difference of being very warm on a roof in Autumn. The view of Bath is lovely too. The Minerva pool, whilst not my favourite of the choices in the 2 Hour package, is lovely if you want to be out of the air for a while. The Steam rooms offer enough of a variety so hard-core Steamers can get their sweat on and those less inclined to be too hot can relax also. Due to the price I have to space out visits but I always leave smiling and feeling clean.

  • Nicola Smith | 9 Sep 2011, 12:45 Very disappointing My husband took me to the Thermae Bath Spa as a birthday treat.  I wasn't sure what to expect but I didn't expect for my husband to be ripped off.  It was basically an expensive use of a luke warm pool and a few steam rooms.  The Minerva Bath was just a pool with a very lack lustre jacuzzi (if you can call it that - I could have done better blowing through a straw).  The steam rooms were nice but the foot baths were pathetic.  The roof top pool was nice although that is about all you can say about it.  There were no active drinking water fountains which is daft when you are using the steam rooms as you tend to become dehydrated.  Worse was to come.  On the website it says that shampoo and shower gel are available in the shower.  Good job I took my own (as most people do) as the one gel that was available was not of a very good quality.  The water in the shower was cold and as such ruined the warm feeling that I had following the steam room session.  To cap it all off the Spa do not allow you to plug any appliances in of your own.  I had to make do with a hairdryer with no attachments and could not use my straightening irons.  This sort of information would have been useful on the website as my husband was going to take me to the Jamie Oliver restauarnt for lunch but I didn't feel comfortable going when my appearance was not as I would have liked thanks to the lack of hair care.  The staff at the reception desk were quite rude and when I asked if I could complete a feedback form I was given a pen that didn't work and so I eventaully gave up.  I came away feeling disappointed by the experience and most of all by the fact that my husband had such good intentions and was let down by a below-par experince.  Would I recommend this - NO.

  • Blue Baby | 9 Sep 2011, 11:24 What a wonderful day I visited the Thermae Baths for the first time this week and it was the best spa experience I've ever had.  Even though I just turned up at the door, no queuing, no fuss, the wristband explained clearly (and what a brilliant idea that is).  The minerva bath was lovely, and I seemed to just float around in it.  I particularly enjoyed the footbath in the steam rooms, and words almost fall me about the rooftop pool, with its bubble jets, and seats.  The famed waters have done my skin no end of good and I was totally Zen-like by the time I left.  Although I'd been concerned by previous stories on here about peoples' robes and slippers going walkies, I didn't experience any problems.  It was an utterly fantastic day and I'm already planning to return :)

  • Abigail Spencer | 9 Sep 2011, 10:56 Relaxing Experience Visited the Thermae Bath Spa and had a really great time, the roof top pool is absolutely amazing and a wonderful experience.  As well as the roof top pool we also had an evening meal included within our package and although there was not a huge selection on the menu the food that we ordered was really lovely.    The Minerva Bath downstairs was also great fun and being a few months pregnant I really enjoy just relxing in the waters and taking the weight off my feet.    Bath is a wonderful city and the visit to the spa really rounded off our trip to perfection.

  • Manny Ngo | 21 Apr 2010, 06:54 The Twilight Package I returned to Bath for another visit to the Thermae Bath Spa but this time as part of a university group of 20 girls. Yet again, I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the spa and its facilities - The Twilight Package, which I definitely recommend, gives you 3hrs for using the facilities and an extra 45mins is added onto your time if you eat at the Springs Cafe/Restaurant which is inclusive with a drink (it was lovely.. I really recommend the Pork dish or the Salmon Supreme). Staff were very helpul in the restaurant but around the spa I hardly saw/spoke to a member of staff (I think they just let you do your own thing but if you need them they are there to help)    I managed to try the Minerva pool this time.. to my amazement it was slightly warmer than the rooftop pool but just as beautiful! All the girls enjoyed themselves and even though I did not go for a treatment I am looking forward to returning again in time for the Malaysian Festival which has been moved to the 6th May for 3 weeks because of the Volcanic activity in Finland.    I also recommend visiting the Old Roman Baths (approx. £10 per adult, £8.50pp for big groups) very historical and interesting and also taste the waters at The Pump Room.  :)
